CrossFit Kids was created to help children develop elite aptitude in athletics and a lifelong love for fitness. CrossFit Kids registered programs can be found in over 1,800 gyms
and more than 1,000 schools worldwide.


Scott Johnson has a bachelor's degree in human movement and he is a certified CrossFit Kids coach. He also has more than 18 years of experience as an educator in the Langley school district. ScoJo, as he's known around our gym, has a 9 year-old and 12 year-old that have both participated regularly in CrossFit for several years.


In our kids classes, participants engage in workouts and games in a group setting with a focus on full-participation and having fun. The activities involved are rarely repeated so they never get boring and the novelty of each session keeps the kids excited about participating. Our exercises are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play - push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, and jump.

We teach our sessions with an emphasis on safety and optimal movement patterns to help with the development of good movement habits. A neurological and motor development focus allows participants to experience enhanced sports performance and a decreased risk of sport related injuries. We aim to lay the ground work to help these children develop into well-rounded athletes that will be better at any and every sport and physical activity that they engage in.
